I love this video! Mixing the beauty and sophistication of the orchestra and the choir with the simple nativity put on by children and the smiles and work of the parents was a perfect fit. Wonderful – thank you!
A wonderful song! My favorite Christmas album is the Choir’s 2000 offering “A Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas.” I like that it includes many lesser-known songs like this one (I also really like “Whence is that Goodly Fragrance” and “What Shall we Give to the Babe in the Manger”) along with some classics, like “What Child is This” and “The First Noel.” And Mack Wilberg’s arrangement of “Angels from the Realms of Glory” (set to “Gloria”) is pure genius! That instantly became one of my favorites as soon as I heard it (the Choir’s performance with Sissel was absolutely enchanting).
