When sophomore Carrie Olson Falahi wanted to start a club at Ozark High School, she enlisted the help of fellow 10th grader Victoria Sutter and freshman Rebecca Carr. The result was the Youth in Action Club.

“I think time and service are among the most meaningful things you can give,” Carrie explains.
Rebecca agrees, adding, “It’s fun to get involved in a cause.” Little did these friends know just how much they would gain by giving service to others!

Since February 2009, Carrie, Victoria, and Rebecca have organized a different service project every month. They have seen their club grow to over 50 members!

In my mission, if someone asked for money, we would find out what they needed and help them get what they needed instead of giving money. I remember walking a man to the store and buying him bread, some meat, and an apple. Definitely more rewarding than giving him money. Plus, we got to talk to him about the gospel.
